New York, NY – March 29, 2010 – World Cyber Games Inc. (WCG), organizer of the premier international video game competition and festival, today announced casting for Season 2 of the pioneering reality show, WCG Ultimate Gamer. The winner of WCG Ultimate Gamer will earn $100,000, a state of the art electronics package from Samsung and the opportunity to represent WCG at events around the world. Casting sessions begin April 7, 2010 in Los Angeles, and continue on April 10 in New York, Chicago and Atlanta.

In WCG Ultimate Gamer a dozen top gamers from around the country are invited to a posh loft space to live and battle one another in a series of competitions that take them "beyond the game." From real-life challenges inspired by top-selling games to head-to-head elimination matches before hundreds of screaming spectators, the last gamer standing after eight grueling weeks will have survived gaming's ultimate test and will be dubbed the best all-around gamer in the US.

“I always knew all those hours of gaming would pay off, but I never realized I would have the opportunity to travel the world and represent an organization like the World Cyber Games as a result. The $100,000 and Samsung prizes were amazing as well,” said Mark ‘Applesauce’ Smith, winner of the first season of WCG Ultimate Gamer.

Starting April 7, World Cyber Games will hold open auditions for the best talent to take part in Season 2 of WCG Ultimate Gamer. Interested participants will be tested on their gaming skills before entering an interview process with casting professionals. All participants must be at least 18 years old.
